Latest Projects

Language Arts
Students are hard at work drafting their personal narrative compositions. At this point, they've written their introduction and will continue with the body and conclusion paragraphs next week.

The topic choices include:
A time when...
*faced a fear
*learned from a mistake
*overcame a challenge

It's always helpful to have others read your writing, so students are encouraged to enlist the help of teachers, parents, and peers for feedback.

Reading
For the next project, students chose another fiction book that interests them. The project consists of 2 parts: Greeting Card and Accelerated Reader Quiz. Find out more about each below.

Task: There are TWO parts to this project.
1) Create a card to one character in your novel to another character.

2) On a separate sheet of paper, include the following:
*The title and date of publication
*In one paragraph, explain why you created the card you did.
*In one paragraph, explain the importance of this choice and how the novel would be different if the card had actually been sent.
