In class, we'll revisit how to write a fully developed Compare & Contrast ERR. This week, students looked at the similarities and differences between two characters, Glenn and Robbie, from a short story in their Buckle Down Reading workbook.
Like they say, practice makes perfect! Students who are still confused about how to tackle this task will get the opportunity to revise their ERR for a better grade on Monday and Tuesday in class.
Some questions we'll discuss include:
-Which facts make the MOST SENSE to interpret? **For example, does it really matter that both Glenn and Robbie are boys or is there another similarity that I could choose ?
-How do I INTERPRET my evidence?
I hope students take advantage of this opporunity to improve their previous grade and to get a better understanding of what it takes to successfully write an ERR!
