This week students received a packet of information about the Poetry Unit for Reading class. They will be learning about a type of poem each day and creating their own examples. These will eventually be typed and turned into a book.
Types of poem we'll be studying:
*Clerihew
*Diamante
*Couplets
*Definition
*Haiku
*Hexaduad
*Limerick
*Onomatopoeia
*Poetic Cryptogram
Students are encouraged to:
*Bring their Poetry packet to class each day.
*Keep up with the daily assigned poems for homework.
*Check the definition, form, and elements for each type of poem.
*Be creative by adding descriptive words and figurative language.
