Our reading classes will be responding to one of the short stories we have read in unit one of the Literature textbook.
A successful response to literature should:
1. Include an introduction that names the literary work and the author.
2. Tell enough about the work so that readers unfamiliar with it can understand your response.
3. Focus on one element to analyze. (setting, characters, plot, climax, resolution/impact, theme)
4. Support your statements with quotations and details from the story.
Summarize the response in the conclusion.
