We've begun a new unit in ELA with the focus on courageous characters. All this week we've read both Greek and Roman myths with characters who have had their courage tested.
Today students will begin their response to the essential question for the unit, "What motivates people to be courageous?" They will choose 1 character from the myths we read in class and analyze his/her courageous act, as well as the reason he/she choose to do something so bold.
Looking ahead, the classroom novel Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is coming up next.
