During the month of December, we will be focusing on reading and writing different styles of poetry. Everyday students will be introduced to a different type of poem. We will review the format of each type together and practice writing them as a class. Independently, students will write at least one poem for each type we study. Daily, they will be asked to share their poems. At the end of the unit, students will type out each poem and construct a book of poetry.
The poetry packet contains all the important information for the project.
*Final book due on January 8th
*Time will be given in the IMC to type their books
*Share your poems with other by practicing reading them aloud to family and friends.
