It's hard to believe that we're almost at the end of the first trimester! In reading, students should be well into their third independent novel. I checked in with them this week to see what they chose.
For this last project, they will take an Accelerated Reader test after reading their book. Accelerated Reader is a program available on all the Lakeview computers. The test consists of multiple choice questions that assesses students' understanding.
Students are encouraged to read daily and bring their books to all their classes in order to complete this project on time. Also, I'm encouraging them to take notes as they read, such as jotting down their favorite parts or questions they may have on a sticky note.
After taking the AR test, students will turn in the printed report with their score. The due date for this project is Tue., 11/24.
