Mrs. Burrows did a wonderful job covering my maternity leave. Her enthusiasm made students
and parents feel welcomed at the start of the year.
I enjoyed being back in the classroom today and getting to

Next Week
There will be a test on unit 1, “The Sentence,” on
Wed, 9/25. Students will work on a
review sheet in class to help them prepare.
English textbooks are also available to take home, so they can stop by on Monday
to borrow one.
Poetry is on the agenda too.
Some of the authors include Maya Angelou and Emily Dickinson. We’ll discuss the elements of poetry and
analyze the meaning behind the poets’ word choice.
