Crews/Burrows, ELA, 9/13

This week in ELA, students were introduced to their first Vocabulary lesson.  The words had to do with vocabulary terminology. Students did activities with the words, using them in context, looking at definitions, derivatives, and synonyms.

In Reading, students read "President Cleveland, Where Are You?", took notes on the different stages of plot, and used evidence from the text to identify characteristic traits of the main character.  

Today, students were introduced to a Book Report Project.  They have checked out the book from the IMC that they will be using, and should get a good start on reading this weekend. The directions for the Book Report Project will be posted in the virtual filing cabinet (found on the 6th grade webpage of the district website).
