We are ending the year by reading a play version of J.R.R. Tolkien's book The Hobbit. Many fans of the Lord of the Rings novels and movies are looking forward to when the prequel to the trilogy hits the big screen.
This story places in the imaginary setting of Middle Earth. Bilbo Baggins, the main character, releuctantly agrees to join Gandalf and the dwarves to seek revenge and what is rightfully theirs from Smaug, the dragon. It has been entertaining to see the students get into character as they take on these roles!
