This week in Reading, we've begun a new classroom novel, Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. It's about a young boy, who accomplishes amazing feats and forms unlikely friendships after running away. Throughout the unit, we'll discuss different literary elements and themes that make thiis novel a humurous and heart-warming read.
Students are encouraged to borrow a copy of the before they leave for the day to help them complete any assignments.
