Today in Language Arts, students started to brainstorm ideas to create an advertisement for a favorite book or movie. They'll apply what they've learned during the adjectives unit by using descriptive words and sentences to persuade others to read the book or see the movie they've chosen.
You’ve Got to Check This Out: Book or Movie Ad
Directions:
1) Write a full-page newspaper ad for your favorite book or movie. Use at least 3 adjectives to describe the characters, plot, and various details from the book or movie. Choose more impressive adjectives INSTEAD of overused words like awesome, cool, funny, etc.
2) Next, write 3 convincing statements to entice people to read the book or see the movie.
3) Then, draw or find pictures to illustrate your book or movie.
A copy of the planning worksheet is available by accessing the ParentConnect gradebook. The final ad is due on Monday.
