The new school year is off to a great start! I'm impressed at how well students have already adjusted to Lakeview.
Word Snapshot
Next week in language arts students will share their artwork for this project. They created a visual autobiography of their lives, which includes words and pictures that represent their hobbies, dislikes, hopes, fears, and other categories they chose.
This will be turned into their first writing piece. We'll talk about how to use elaboration and varied sentences to enhance our writing.
Amelia Earhart
Nonfiction is on the agenda in reading. We'll read an autobiography about her famous solo flight. The reading is from the Literature textbook, which is used in the classroom. If students would like more time to use it for assignments, they are encouraged to see me during study hall or in the morning before Homebase.
