Welcome Back!
It's been a busy first week back at school. In language arts, students began on their Word Snapshot. For this project, they selected 5 categories to write about. These categories were chosen based on their unique interests. Some of the categories included: Likes, Dislikes, Hopes, Fears, and Events to Remember.
The idea is to create a colorful poster that includes words and pictures that represent a snapshot of their life as a sixth grader. In a few years, it'll be fun to see if their interests have changed and to look back at their memorable moments.
I look forward to seeing their finished projects on Monday!
Rubric for Word Snapshot
1. Includes at least 5 different categories - 5 points
2. Includes at least 15-20 words/phrases to describe ME - 10
3. Each word/phrase includes an explanation for why I chose it and is written in a complete sentence - 20
4. Decorated in color and is creative - 3
5. Includes a title - 2
*Project = 40 points
