Miss Hagensee presented a book talk to students in the IMC today to help them choose their next book for the Reading project. The focus is on learning more about people who have a disability. As they read, they will jot down notes to use to compose a character sketch. An example of the final paper was presented in class from the Literature book. *Students have the option to write the information on sticky notes or on the graphic organizer they received. Each note should contain evidence from the book that supports their main impression of the character. See the 6 categories from the web diagram.
*The book does not have to be an Accelerated Reader book but should fit with the disabilities unit.
*Final character sketch is to be typed and turned in with the rubric.
*A copy of the graphic organizer and rubric are available through the ParentConnect grade book.
