Persuasive Composition Project

In language arts, students have been brushing up on their persuasive skills by responding to a variety of prompts in class.  Their job has been to pick one position, or side, of the argument and defend it with convincing support using evidence.

They are finishing up the draft of their composition.  The two prompts that they were able to choose from were adding a new activity to Lakeview or the pros and cons of having a robot at home.

Two days will be spent in the computer lab for students to start typing their final composition.  A rubric will be given ahead of time for students to review as they make their last edits and finishing touches.  A copy of this is also available through the ParentConnect grade book.  I look forward to reading their opinions about each of these topics!

Final composition due: Thur, 1/24
