ex: Mrs. Crews described her trip to Spain. described=verb, trip=d.o. *Remember take the verb and ask yourself who or what. "Described what?"
*Transitive & Intransitive Verbs-transitive-followed by a direct object object, intransitive-NO direct object
*Being Verbs-show a state of being (is, were, been, feels, looks, etc.)
*Linking Verbs-when the verb links the subject with a word in the predicate
ex: Digital readers have become popular. have become=linking verb, popular=predicate adjective
Digital readers are electronic books. are=linking verb, books=predicate noun
