In preparation for the 6th grade field trip next week to the Rialto Theatre in Joliet on Tuesday, we have begun reading three of the five stories we'll see performed by the Chamber Theatre: "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, "The Necklace" by Guy de Maupassant, and "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe. We've been analyzing the different genres and story elements for each. The outing will be a great opportunity for students to see the literature come alive on the stage!
Don't forget to bring money for lunch! We'll be eating at a fast food restaurant nearby after the performance.
